This
program presents an analysis of AECB,
as well as teach and discuss the complications and problems associated
with these conditions. Participants receive an up-to-date review
of national treatment guideline recommendations, as well as patient
treatment strategies for the uncomplicated patient, the complicated
patient, and the patient at risk for infection with P.aeruginosa.
Specially
selected case studies highlight major categories within AECB.
Through the use of hi-tech diagnostic video clips,
participants are presented with actual patient interviews and
examinations. Chest radiographs, audio/video lung clips, and
select laboratory
data is shown and discussed. Course content is based on the principles
of evidence-based medicine.
